The 100% wool triple-weave fabric is light enough to not overheat the wearer when worn open, but can be fastened shut by handmade buttons for impenetrable protection with style. With each wear and wash, the Qashabiya Jacket will continue to soften and increase in quality: truly an heirloom piece which is versatile, classic, and functional.
Our standard size is loose-fitting and will fit most wearers, though custom sizing is available. The Jacket features a traditional hood and two front facing open pockets, as well as classic hand-fashioned loop fasteners. The edges are all embroidered with difficult bershman embroidery which requires two artisans working simultaneously. You can see how it's done here.
